The Jazz Train itinerary offers guests the enjoyment of live entertainment nightly aboard the train, special lectures and planned excursions that showcase the evolution of this uniquely American musical art form. Each evening in the Club Car, guests take a trip back to the dawn of the century and hear the sweet sounds of the birth and development of early jazz performed by the notable Jack Maheu Trio including John Royen on the piano, bassist Matt Perrine, and Jack Maheu on clarinet.
