Satoshi Kanazawa Satoshi Kanazawa is from the Tohoku region, which was greatly affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake. His music encompasses a wide variety of styles from tonal music to atonalism, including solo, vocal, chamber and orchestral pieces. He is also a critically acclaimed arranger for various genre from classical, pop and jazz music to children’s songs or traditional folk songs. As a pianist, he often performs with soprano singer Naoko Nakagawa. www.satoshikanazawa.com
Naoko Nakagawa A native of Japan, Naoko Nakagawa is a graduate of the prestigious Tokyo University of the Arts. She has performed throughout Japan as a soloist and a guest singer. In 2006 she moved to New York, where she made her operatic debut in 2009 in the role of Masha in A Feast in the Time of the Plague, written by César Cui, at the little Opera Theater of New York. She has also appeared at The Hudson Guild Theatre and is a member of the soprano ensemble Sakura Duo.

Ayako Shirasaki Ayako Shirasaki is recognized as a jazz prodigy in her native Japan. She has lived in New York City since 1997 and has quickly been making herself a name as one of the most exciting and inventive pianists in the New York jazz scene. She has released several CDs, including her latest work “Falling Leaves – Live in Hamburg”, a live solo piano recording, which was voted into the “Best of 2010″ list by members of the Jazz Journalists Association. www.ayakoshirasaki.com

Hammer Klavier Trio The music of the {{Hammer Klavier Trio}} from Germany is “a devotion to collective freedom, deeply entrenched in jazz’s 21st century incarnations, embracing genre-hopping styles and global influences.” Pianist Boris Netsvetaev, bassist Philipp Steen and drummer Kai Bussenius have long been part of the young vanguard of the German jazz trio scene. All three studied Jazz at the University of Music and Theatre in Hamburg and have been awarded with the Dr. E. A. Langner jazz scholarship. www.hammerklaviertrio.com
