We will video the and send it to you as evidence. I shall be the coordinator. I am Ben Ufeli- a jazz music presenter till date and publisher of Simply Jazz Magazine. We expect your favourable reply. Someone will drop the letter in your office in Lagos

Nicholas Payton is a brave and honest man. IMO an artist needs to speak from their heart and not worry so much about the economics of an issue. Maybe it provides a direction for jazz for the future? Maybe it's just one comment.

Okay, here's my take on the statement by distinguished trumpeter Nicholas Payton, also on the panel, posted a manifesto of sorts, in which he declared: “Jazz is a lie. America is a lie". Let me say this; tell that to Count Basie, Duke Ellington and others). I've had the pleasure of playing with some of the worlds' finest artists and please pass my take on his negative statement:: All forms of jazz music are healing and the very fact that people of all ethnicities embrace it; shows that is spiritual. Jazz's messages bring people together not drive them apart. After all, musicians don't start wars or fights (unless they're nuts); because they could hurt their hands, or lips My advice to this gentleman; pick up your axe, play and stop talking divisive nonsense! June Harris, professional jazz artist , who is a musician, who happens to be Black and old, period!

The Jazz festival is a great time of year in Cheltenham, and really brings a different type of person to Cheltenham, much like the other festivals which Cheltenham hold, which is great for local businesses!
