I've had the pleasure of playing with some of the worlds' finest artists and please pass my take on his negative statement:: All forms of jazz music are healing and the very fact that people of all ethnicities embrace it; shows that is spiritual. Jazz's messages bring people together not drive them apart. After all, musicians don't start wars or fights (unless they're nuts); because they could hurt their hands, or lips My advice to this gentleman; pick up your axe, play and stop talking divisive nonsense! June Harris, professional jazz artist , who is a musician, who happens to be Black and old, period!
