    All excellent releases but I’m a little puzzled, at least several of those came out in 2010 or earlier:
    Christine Jensen which won a Juno, Laila Biali which was nominated for a juno, and Richard Underhill all predate 2011 .. N

      Yes – but they gained the heaviest airplay throughout 2011 on radio..Richard and Laila are getting more play worldwide at this moment.

        Well, it is true that Jensen and Biali weren’t released to the US market (specifically US jazz radio) til 2011 – it always takes a while for the US to realize what great music (especially jazz) comes from North of the border, Cory Weeds and Sophie Milman (not to mention Cinque and Vancouver trumpeter Chris Davis) are on the JazzWeek charts this week, congrats all … N
