The incomparable Dizzy Gillespie All-Star Big Band will be headlining the 39th annual Pittsburg State University (Kansas) Jazz Festival. The festival is one of the largest one day public school competitions in the Midwest with four sites and over 60 junior, senior highs and community colleges competing throughout the day. The event concludes with a 7:30 pm concert at Pittsburg’s Memorial Auditorium, 503 N. Pine and features the Dizzy Gillespie All-Star Big Band with the Pitt State Jazz One opening the concert.
