Hall of Fame All-Stars Missing a Star
A report from the Savannah Morning News on why bassist Ben Tucker would again be absent from the Savannah Coastal Jazz Hall of Fame All-Stars at the 2004 Savannah Jazz Festival, as he had been for six years.
It traced the dispute back to the 1998 festival, when Tucker left the stage during a delayed All-Stars set to play another booking, and gave the accounts of Tucker and of All-Stars co-director Teddy Adams. Trombonist Teddy Adams, saxophonist Eddie Pazant and drummer Ben Riley were confirmed to perform.
