Dom Um Romão Has Left Us

A short notice that Brazilian percussionist and drummer Dom Um Romão died in Rio de Janeiro on the morning of Tuesday, July 26, 2005, and was buried the same day.

According to his family, he felt ill while recording in a friend's studio on the Sunday evening and died early on Tuesday after a stroke. He would have turned 80 on August 3.
